    Sponsored by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Contra Costasm (LCC), the Bay Area's premier countywide leadership program, accepts 25–30 individuals from throughout the county with diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. LCC is geared to people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work. Topics include Health and Aging, The Price of Justice, Business and the Economy, Environment, Education, Social Justice, Government and Politics, and Housing and Transportation.   • The Third Annual Mayors’ Summit

    Presented by the Contra Costa Chambers of Commerce and held at Boundary Oak Golf Course was attended by over 150 business and civic leaders. The Mayors’ of Walnut Creek-Cindy Silva, Concord-Carlyn Obringer, Lafayette-Mike Anderson, Martinez-Rob Schroder, and Pleasant Hill-Ken Carlson shared and reviewed the highlights and challenges facing their respective communities in issues such as housing, homelessness, infrastructure, congestion and economic development. Summit Moderator and Walnut Creek Chamber Chair-Elect, Matt Guichard, probed each of the topics from a business perspective. This year the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau took the lead in facilitating the Summit.
