    Chamber member Trudy Triner, co-owner of Paleoventures Wilderness Teambuilding, has been named the first ever Woman of the Year by Mt. Diablo Business Women. Trudy was recognized for her distinguished service to MDBW, serving on its board and as president, and for her outstanding professional and civic achievements and contributions. Trudy is an active member of Rotary Club of Walnut Creek and has served on its board and as president. She has raised funds for Rotary’s Wheelchair Foundation, which has sent more than 300 wheelchairs to Costa Rica and Honduras in the past two years. Congratulations Trudy!

    Chamber member Donna Colombo, Exec. Dir. of Trinity Center, was a featured "Woman to Watch" in the July 2018 issue of Walnut Creek Magazine, making a mark as a passionate and creative advocate, working tirelessly to raise community awareness about homelessness. Currently serving 50+ individuals 8 hrs/day, 5 days/wk, Trinity Center offers safety net services and most importantly advocacy and referral services. Understanding that homelessness is tied to economic vitality, housing, mental health, and public safety, she created the WC Homeless Community Task Force in 2013 in partnership with the WCPD, bringing together city and county partners to find effective solutions for homelessness. Atrium Downtown is located in the heart of Walnut Creek, within walking distance to downtown and close to the 24 and 680 freeways, Interstate 80, and the Walnut Creek BART station, and they now offer pet-friendly residences!
