Put the Spotlight On Your Business
Have you been waiting to host a Walnut Creek Chamber Business and Social Hour? Now's your chance to let us know! We are now accepting requests to fill our 2017 calendar. Hosting is a great way to showcase your business to Chamber members, non-members, government officials, educators and local businesses. If you would like to co-host a BASH with another Chamber member, please send back only one form that includes each host's contact information. We will contact the 2017 hosts when the calendar is set and maintain a waiting list for those we were unable to accommodate. To access the form, click here.
The Civic Affairs committee represents the Chamber and the business community in local, state and governmental issues and meets once per month, generally every second Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. Read on to find out this month's information.
Calling high school students: Presented by the Walnut Creek Chamber's Education Committee, this seminar will equip you with skills to help with your resume, job and college interviews as well as skills you need to be successful after high school, in your career, and into your adult life! This is a FREE event to all sophomore, junior, and senior students.
On Monday, January 30 the Walnut Creek Chamber and the City of Walnut Creek hosted the State of the City luncheon. Walnut Creek Chamber Board Chair, Linda Rimac Colberg, shared a short movie celebrating business and community life in Walnut Creek with the message that business is good and the future looks bright for our city. Mayor Rich Carlston ended his address with a call to action encouraging the next generation to give back and ensure that Walnut Creek continues to be a thriving community (Photo credit: City of Walnut Creek).
