The Mayor of Walnut Creek and Chairman of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce will review the current status of Walnut Creek and discuss plans for the coming year. The Chamber hosts this Annual Luncheon in association with the City of Walnut Creek and area non-profit organizations. This unique networking opportunity is always a sell-out and reservation are required.
This event is held Bi-Annually, the last Thursday in March and the last Thursday of September. This is a Business-to-Business TradeFaire where you can meet business owners and managers, discover new business opportunities and network. Discover why the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce is your partner in business success. Admission is free for representatives presenting business cards, for all others there is a small admission fee of $10.00.
The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce hosts a Teacher Appreciation Reception every year on the last Thursday in March for all public and private school teachers in the Walnut Creek area. The purpose of the event is to recognize and honor teachers for their dedication to quality education on behalf of their students. The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is actively involved in bringing business resources to schools. Their goal is to enrich the Walnut Creek community of schools by helping to prepare students for the workplace.
The mission of the East Bay Women's Conference is to provide women an opportunity to come together and participate in a program of personal and professional enrichment, development and networking activities and provide the tools they need on their journey to their personal best as individuals, team members and leaders in family, community, political and business arenas. This event was established in 2006 and is consistently a sell-out. Reservations are required.
The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of Citslinc International, Inc., invites business and community leaders to participate in the Business Leaders' Tour of China. The nine-day trip is a rare opportunity to experience China at a very attractive rate. Highlights of the tour include Beijing and the great Wall of china, Ming Tombs, Palace Museum, Summer Palace, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, as well as Shanghai, Shuzhou and the Hangzhou Economic Development Zone. An optional trip to Xi'an to view the famed Terra-Cotta Warriors was added to the tour in 2008. This tour usually takes place in March or early April.
The Outgoing Chamber Chairman reviews Chamber accomplishments and recognizes volunteers for their outstanding service at the annual Installation Luncheon. The Chamber Chairman Elect along with upcoming Directors will be installed at this gala luncheon. This event is always sold out and reservations are required.
The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce proudly introduced a new annual program in 2009 to honor and celebrate the exceptional businesses and individuals of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce that have made a difference in our community. Nominations are open to everyone. You may nominate yourself or another who you think is deserving of consideration. Categories include: Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Educator of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Small Business Person of the Year.
Whether you are a wine connoisseur, a micro-brew lover, an art buff or just interested in lounging in the grass listening to good music, the annual Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Art & Wine Festival has something for you. The first weekend in June, since 1981, the Chamber has celebrated this popular event with the community. The festival has been recognized by the Contra Costa Times as the East Bay's Best Outdoor Festival. The Art & Wine Festival attracts over 100,000 people to the beautiful Heather Farm Park during its two-day run. The event features wines from local and regional wineries as well as beers and malt beverages from major breweries and smaller local microbreweries. Sponsored by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Contra Costa, the Bay Area's premier countywide leadership program, accepts 28-32 individuals from throughout the county with diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. LCC is geared to people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work. Topics include: Health and Aging; The Price of Justice; Communications and Diversity; Environmental Concerns; Education; Government and Politics; Contra Costa 2020; and Security and the Future. With an alumni roster of over 500 individuals, this program has proven to be an asset to the community and society.

This 13+ week extravaganza by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association, offers unrivaled partnering opportunities and an opportunity to put your brand name in front of a highly lucrative market, at the time of year when exposure is most easily turned into sales and a genuine interest. Ethics Day brings together students and business leaders for an interactive exploration of some of the ethical challenges facing all of us today. Using an ethical decision-making framework, participants will spend a morning discussing and making decisions about various scenarios that have ethical implications. The goal of Ethics Day is to introduce students to ethics as a science that explains the valuing process and provides a theory for explaining why conduct is considered good or bad. Through in-depth, facilitated discussions, students and business leaders will attempt to answer questions like, "Is this fair?" or "Will anyone be hurt by this decision?". Ethics Day is coordinated by the Education Committee.
A lively non-compete networking and business development opportunity for business professionals offering the power of high speed connectivity with the personal touch of a handshake. Business Links is about building relationships, sharing business growth ideas and generating leads by connecting professionals with other professionals, and linking them to prospects and power partners. "Growing Your Business" is the focus of member business presentations, guest speakers and round-table brainstorming sessions about reaching business success. Membership in a Business Links group is open to Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce members and meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Registration and Fee required.
The BASH is sponsored each month by a Chamber member, and is held at the sponsor's place of business. Chamber members, prospective members, business associates and guests regularly attend. The event is an enjoyable and profitable experience, giving businesses a great opportunity to network and socialize with the members of the Walnut Creek Chamber and other attendees. The Ambassadors are the hosts for the BASH, held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month (except March, September, and December). The BASH is open to anyone interested in meeting and networking with the movers and shakers in the Walnut Creek and Contra Costa business community.
This committee represents the Chamber and the business community in local, state and governmental issues.
The mission of the Walnut Creek Green Steering Committee is to oversee and provide assistance to the work of the three subcommittees (Certification/Recognition, Marketing, Green Liaison) as they implement an environmental program that educates and recognizes business for adopting green practices that may lead to certification in the Bay Area Green Business program. The Steering Committee will also act in a liaison capacity with other chambers, governmental agencies, non-profits, and environmental organizations regarding best practices for the effective greening of Walnut Creek businesses.
