Twenty-five individuals graduated from Leadership Contra Costasm, the Bay Area’s premier leadership program on Thursday May 7, 2015 at the Boundary Oak Clubhouse in Walnut Creek. The graduation ceremonies marked the culmination of an eight-month comprehensive program designed to identify and prepare potential community leaders. The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau sponsored its first Leadership class twenty-eight years ago and has since graduated nearly 700 individuals from the program.  The curriculum includes presentations and workshops from community leaders about critical issues facing the community.

Leadership Contra Costasm accepts 25–30 individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. Leadership Contra Costasm is geared towards people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work; spaces fill quickly.

The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is currently accepting applications for the Leadership Contra Costa’s 2015–16 year.  To request an application, call Marcie Hochhauser, Chamber Senior Vice President and Program Coordinator at (925) 934-2007 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Chamber Ambassadors

“As ambassadors, we have the best job at the chamber. We get to personally welcome new members, go to all the ribbon cuttings and BASHs, and basically be the party people of the chamber! Who wouldn’t have a good time doing that?”- Katherine Scott, Private Dining Administrator, Ruth's Chris Steak House
